One man missing
‘One Man Missing’ is a collection of intimate and personal spoken word by men from around the world, who are dear to me with a focus on religion, identity, and mixed cultures background. The audience can listen to these stories whilst sitting across from a dummy with a bag on his head, the piece looks at the suicide of men, with the idea that the audience can take home a sense of intimacy rarely heard by strangers and apply this to themselves where necessary or their own loved ones.
The voices come from the closest male spiritual influences in my life, My father, Er's brother Yanji, Seki Lynch my first friend in Leeds and a dear friend who wish to remain anonymous.
The piece was shown in Wharf chambers, Middle floor as part of the exhibition The Tittering of Magpies in July 2022. It was later exhibited in Leeds arts university postgraduate show of September 2022.
